In January of 2019, it came to my attention that homeless women and adolescence were in desperate need of feminine hygiene products. I was shocked to learn that products such as pads and tampons are subject to a sizable tax, know as the pink tax. This is because they are considered "luxury" items. With the help of my family and friends, I raised over 3,000 dollars in funds and sanitary products to donate to many different shelters all over the LA area.
Hi, I am Gigi Boostanfar, the founder of the "The Pink Gift" organization. I started this foundation because my parents are both gynecologists and inspired me to think of a solution for this worldwide problem. I want to be able to provide women with the necessities they need to thrive in this world.

This organization is now an official club on the Calabasas High School campus and its focus is to raise awareness about the expense of feminine hygiene products and fundraise for shelters. Follow the Instagram for more updates!
